Our story
Cats & heroes is part of the Madebyheroes Foundation. This is where our products are made. We offer young people with disabilities a creative learning and working environment because we wanted to address the difficult transition from school to work.
With us, they can connect with peers and develop at their own pace in terms of work skills, social skills, and discover their own creative talents.
Together in our studio, we create custom-made design products and adapt the production process to our young people.
This is how we achieve the most beautiful things.
And with the profits from our products, we support projects that benefit this target group.
Made with love and care
We've started our collection of Designer cat scratching furniture. Our furniture stands out with beautiful custom prints and unique shapes. Together, we continue to build our collection.
Each piece of furniture is carefully handmade. This makes every piece unique. Tested by our cats and made by our heroes.
Our materials have the lowest possible impact on the environment. That's better for both humans and cats. For example, we use plant-based glues and environmentally friendly ink for our prints, which are hand screen-printed. And when the furniture is truly worn out, it can simply be disposed of with the old paper.
Een groeiende collectie
Wat begon met kattenkrabmeubels is uitgegroeid tot een steeds bredere collectie handgemaakte producten.
In ons atelier experimenteren we dagelijks met nieuwe materialen en technieken. Zo ontstaan ook geurkaarsen, keramiek, notitieboekjes, textiel en andere woonaccessoires die met dezelfde aandacht en liefde worden gemaakt.
Iedere aankoop helpt ons om nieuwe makers op te leiden, nieuwe producten te ontwikkelen en onze collectie verder uit te breiden.
We staan nog maar aan het begin. Samen bouwen we aan een collectie én aan een toekomst waarin nog meer makers de kans krijgen hun talenten te ontdekken en te ontwikkelen.
